Stressingthattheprotectionoftherighttolife“constitutestheindispensablefoundationofeveryotherhumanright,”Leosaidthatsociety“ishealthyandtrulyprogressesonlywhenitsafeguardsthesanctityofhumanlifeandworksactivelytopromoteit.”
“Inthisregard,”Leocontinued,“Iwouldencourageyou,especiallytheyoungpeople,tocontinuestrivingtoensurethatlifeisrespectedinallofitsstagesthroughappropriateeffortsateverylevelofsociety,includingdialoguewithcivilandpoliticalleaders.”
