PublishedonDec.8,the14-pagedocumentwidelycitedintheFrenchpresscompilestestimoniesfromteachers,principals,andstaffinCatholicschoolsunderstatecontractwhoreporthavingbeensubjectedtowhatCatholiceducationleadersdescribeas“abusive,”“intrusive”inspectionscarriedoutbyofficialsfromtheMinistryofNationalEducation.Thereporthighlightsthatitdoesnotchallengetheprincipleofstateoversightitselfbutdenouncesthemethodsemployed—methodsthat,accordingtoCatholicleaders,riskunderminingboththedignityofeducatorsandtheveryidentityofCatholicschools.
