CatholicsacrosstheUnitedStatesareencouragedtoparticipateinthenationalRespectLifeNovenabeginningOct.22inanefforttouniteinprayerfortheprotectionoftheunbornandallthoseaffectedbyabortion.
TheRespectLifeNovenaisofferedannuallybytheUnitedStatesCatholicConferenceofBishops(USCCB)andconsistsofninedaysofprayers,Scripturereadings,andsuggestedactsofreparation.
Someoftheprayerintentionsinthisyear’snovenaincludeonesfortheprotectionoflifefromconceptiontonaturaldeath,forthosewhohaveundergoneanabortiontoexperienceGod’shealingandmercy,forthosewithdisabilitiestobetreatedwithdignity,andforanendtothedeathpenalty,amongothers.
