OnAug.11,blackpaintwasspilledonasetof stepsatSt.CatherineparishinthetownofRuteinCordobaprovince,justdaysbeforethepatronsaint’sfeastday. Thefollowingday,theperpetualadorationchapelatSt.MartinparishinValenciawasdesecratedwhenapersonwhoidentifiesas“trans”burstinthechapelshoutinginfrontofthealtarandthen“brokethemonstrance,whileinsultingthefaithful,”accordingtotheOLRC. OnAug13,OurLadyofMountCarmelparishinPalmadeMallorcawasdesecratedwithoffensivegraffitiaccusingtheCatholicChurchofcorruption. Adaylater,asacristanandseveralparishionerswereattackedintheValenciacathedralbyanapparentlyintoxicatedmanduringthecelebrationoftheEucharist. OnAug.1
