Nebraska diocese celebrates sixth set of brothers who have become priests

Forparents,havingtheopportunitytoseetheirchildrenembracethevocationtowhichGodhascalledthemmarkstheculminationofyearsofprayerandsacrifice.Whilemostwillseetheirchildrenmarried,asmallergroupwillgettocelebratecallstothepriesthoodandreligiouslife.  Evenmorerare,though,istheopportunitytocelebratemultipleordinationsfromthesamefamily,letaloneamongsiblings.ButasofSaturday,May24,withtheordinationofFatherIsaacWahlmeier,sixfamiliesintheDioceseofLincoln,Nebraska,cancelebratesuchablessing. ThesesetsofbrothersincludeFatherIsaacWahlmeierandhisbrotherFatherJosephWahlmeier,ordainedin2020,andFathersMatthewandJeffreyEickhoff,whowereordainedin1989and1995,respectively, ForFatherIsaacWahlmeier,theopportunitytoseehisbrotherbeginhisjourneytothepriesthoodwasamajorfact
