PopeLeoXIVonWednesdaybrieflydiscussedtherevisionofOpusDei’sstatuteswiththeapostolate’sprelate,MonsignorFernandoOcáriz,arevisionthatwaspostponedfollowingthedeathofPopeFrancisonApril21,twodaysbeforetheconveningofOpusDei’sgeneralcongress,fromwhichtherevisionsproposedforapprovalweretobeissued.
AccordingtotheOpusDeicommunicationsofficeinRome,theMay14encounterwas“abriefmeetinginwhichthepopeexpressedhisclosenessandaffection.”
