Brunisaidthe88-year-oldpontiffhadbreakfastandreadseveralnewspapersSundaymorningwhilecontinuinghisprescribedmedicaltreatments.
Thoughdoctorsorderedcompleterest,theHolyFatherpreparedaspecialAngelusmessagefocusingonart’spowertounitehumanityandincludedprayersforregionstornbyconflict.
“Iwouldhavelikedtobeamongyou,”PopeFranciswroteinhismessage,referringtoartistsgatheredattheVaticanforaspecialJubileecelebration,“butasyouknow,IamhereattheGemelliPolyclinicbecauseIstillneedsometreatmentformybronchitis.”
